Burrowing Owl

Burrowing owl numbers are decreasing mainly due to habitat loss. There are still a few breeding pairs on Cape Coral and because their nests are in public areas e.g. housing developments etc., they are used to people so not too difficult to approach. Canon EOS-40D with 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS lens.
