Great Blue Heron with Brown Water Snake
Several images were taken of this great blue heron with a brown water snake. The snake put up a spirited defence trying to break free, but the fight was futile as the heron swallowed the snake shortly after this image was taken. Canon EOS-1D III with 500mm f/4L IS lens and 1.4 converter.
