Bittern
Bitterns are both elusive and uncommon. They arrive in the UK at the end of November and stay until the end of January. Spending their time in reed beds they can extremely difficult to spot due to their camouflage. Canon EOS-1DX with 500mm f/4L IS lens and 1.4 III converter,
